TAPAN Mission
The Texas Association of PeriAnesthesia Nurses (TAPAN), as a component of the American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses, advances nursing practice through education, research, and standards.
History
In 2009, the executive board of TAPAN realigned its eleven districts and formed five regions – North and East Texas Region, Upper Gulf Coast Region, Hill Country and South Texas Region, Far West Texas Region, and West Texas and Panhandle (wesTpan) Region.
In 2018, The TAPAN executive board deactivated The Far West Texas Region whose members were welcomed into the wesTpan Region.
